Mueller Just Subpoenaed Manafort’s Former Attorney And Spokesperson: Report

As the Russia investigation continues to heat up special counsel Robert Mueller has issued a subpoena to former attorney and current spokesperson for Paul Manafort, according to CNN.

The report states that subpoenas have been issued to both Melissa Laurenza, an attorney with the Akin Gump law firm, and Jason Maloni, who is Manafort’s spokesman, looking for their documents and testimonies.

The report also revealed that the subpoenas have not been sent to WilmerHale, which is the law firm that currently represents Manafort.

Manafort is currently under investigation for possible tax crimes.
