Murkowski Fires Back At Trump After He Attacked Her For Voting Against Kavanaugh

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) responded to Donald Trump’s criticism by telling reporters that she knows Alaska voters “better than he does.”

Murkowski’s response comes after Trump told The Washington Post Saturday that the Alaskan Senator’s decision to vote against Brett Kavanaugh was “really unacceptable” and that “the people from Alaska will never forgive her for what she did.”

According to The Associated Press, Murkowski said that her “barometer is not necessarily what the president says but what the people of Alaska say.”

“I took the vote that I took. And I’m good with it and I’m moving forward,” she said. “I think we all need to be, so I’m not going to dwell on the ‘what ifs.’”

“I took the vote that I took and we’re moving forward,” she added.
