Nevada Teen Arrested After Threatening To Shoot Up High School: Report

A Nevada teenager was arrested on Wednesday when he threatened to carry out a shooting at a high school, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The 19-year-old, who has not been identified, called a school district office in Clark County, Nevada and made the threat, according to officers.

School police Capt. Ken Young says they have chosen to decline to say which school received the threat.

“We take this very seriously,” sYoung told the Review-Journal. “This is not the time nor the place.”

According to the Review-Journal, students from the county had been protesting against gun violence just hours before the threat was made.
