New GOP Healthcare Bill So Bad Not Even These Four Senate Republicans Can Support It
The Senate healthcare bill was made public on Thursday, but it’s already off to a bad start. Four GOP Senators – Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, and Ted Cruz – said they are not ready to vote on the new proposed healthcare bill.
“Currently, for a variety of reasons, we are not ready to vote for this bill, but we are open to negotiation and obtaining more information before it is brought to the floor,” the senators said in a joint statement.
According to the four Senators, the draft bill would not repeal Obamacare or lower healthcare costs.
Republicans can only afford to lose two Senate Republican votes, assuming that all Democrats and Independents vote against the bill as expected.
