Donald Trump entered his presidency with the worst approval rating in polling history. The poll done by Gallup showed that only 44% approved of him while 51% disapproved.
A new poll was recently done by the Quinnipiac University survey that was released Wednesday. The poll revealed that Trump’s approval ratings have reached remarkable new lows. Trump’s approval rating has plummeted to 38%, while 55% percent showed disapproval of the president.
“President Trump’s popularity is sinking like a rock,” Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the poll, said in a statement announcing the findings.
“He gets slammed on honesty, empathy, level headedness and the ability to unite. And two of his strong points, leadership and intelligence, are sinking to new lows. This is a terrible survey one month in.”
No president has every reached such low numbers, making Trump the most disliked president in polling history.
Quinnipiac University surveyed a pool of 1,323 voters between Feb. 16 and 21. The margin of error is 2.7 percentage points.
