According to a new Gallup tracking poll released Monday, President Trump’s job approval rating dropped to an all-time low, with just 33 percent of respondents saying they approve of the job Trump is doing as president.
In contrast, sixty-two percent of respondents disapprove of Trump’s job performance.
The Gallup survey was conducted before Monday’s news that Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is being charged with 12 counts — including conspiracy against the United States — in the first indictments to come from the investigation being done by special counsel Robert Mueller.
That new rating is the lowest approval rating of any modern president at this point in his tenure. A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed similar results with only 38 percent of those polled saying they approve of Trump’s job performance. Another 58 percent of respondents in that poll disapproved of Trump’s performance.
