Newly Released Documents Debunk Another Trump Russia Lie, Puts Him In A Deep Hole
Another Donald Trump lie has just been debunked and it’s a crucial one. Trump once told the New York Times that his business deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow wasn’t a business deal because it hadn’t advanced very far.
“I don’t think they had a location,” Trump said attempting to dismiss the deal’s significance. “I’m not even sure if they had a location.”
But that was another falsehood told by the president of lies himself. BuzzFeed got a hold of documents that debunk Trump’s lie about the Trump Tower Moscow project.
“In fact, hundreds of pages of business documents, emails, text messages, and architectural plans obtained by BuzzFeed News show that the Trump Organization was scoping at least one prime location for the luxury glass skyscraper,” writes reporter Emma Loop. “The signed letter of intent includes a proposal to build the tower in Moscow City, a former industrial complex near the edge of the Moscow River that has since been converted into an ambitious commercial district clustered with several of the tallest skyscrapers in Europe.”
Looper also noted that Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani also lied when he claimed that there were no concrete plans when it came to the construction of the tower.
“BuzzFeed News last week published detailed plans revealing that the tower was, in fact, a richly imagined vision of upscale splendor on the banks of the river, expected to yield profits in excess of $300 million,” she notes.
