Nunes Just Sent A Letter To Sessions Accusing The FBI Of Committing A Crime

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) sent a letter on Thursday to Attorney General Jeff Sessions accusing the Federal Bureau of Investigation of breaking the law when they obtained surveillance warrants against former Trump aide Carter Page.

The letter was obtained by Fox News. In it, Nunes claims “The FBI may have violated criminal statutes, as well as its own strict internal procedures, by using unverified information during the 2016 election to obtain a surveillance warrant onetime Trump campaign aide Carter Page.”

On Tuesday, Sessions announced that the DOJ will investigate claims that anti-Trump bias is widespread within the department.

Donald Trump attacked the attorney general the next day in one of his Twitter rants, calling Sessions “disgraceful” for not investigating President Barack Obama.

Sessions fired back at the president saying, the DOJ would “continue to do its work in a fair and impartial manner according to the law and the Constitution.”
