NY Judges Drop Hammer On Trump, Say He Can Be Sued For Defamation By Sexual Assault Accuser In State’s Highest Court

A panel of judges with the New York Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that Summer Zervos’ defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump can now be heard by the New York Court of Appeals – which is the highest court in the state.

Zervos, a former contestant on “The Apprentice,” is one of over a dozen women who have accused Trump of attempted rape and unwanted advances.

Zervos accused Trump of groping and kissing her without her consent back in 2007.

“We remain confident that we will prove her defamation claim in court and that Mr. Trump will face responsibility for his actions,” said Zervos’ attorney, Beth Wilkinson, in a statement.

Trump’s attorneys have argued he should be immune from all criminal proceedings as long as he stays in office.
