On Monday, Fox News personality and supporter of Donald Trump campaigned with the president at one of his rallies where he attacked other news networks calling them “fake news,” echoing Trump’s constant attacks on the media.
This didn’t sit well with a lot of his network colleagues who called him out for it. According to CNN, more than a dozen Fox News employees were disappointed with Hannity’s decision to participate at a Trump rally in Missouri on Monday night.
“People throughout the company think a new line was crossed,” one employee of the network told CNN.
“It disturbs me to my core,” another Fox News staffer agreed. “I am so f—ing mad.”
“We were all told that Hannity was going to interview the president, but no one that I spoke with expected what happened last night,” a third employee said. “I’m aghast as are a number of other people.”
Hannity took a step further by calling the media room at Trump’s rally – including Fox News employees – “fake news.”
“By the way,” Hannity told the crowd, “all those people in the back are fake news.”
