Donald Trump’s former foreign policy advisor Carter Page has chosen not to cooperate with the Senate Intelligence Committee in their investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
So far, the committee has met with both Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner behind closed doors.
According to Politico, Committee Chair Richard Burr (R-NC) and Vice Chair Mark Warner (D-VA) have threatened use subpoenas to compel testimony from witnesses who refuse to cooperate.
Page continues to refer to himself as Trump’s “advisor” but Trump White House counsel Donald McGahn has urged him to stop calling himself that after news broke of Page meeting with Russian officials.
The FBI are not as focused on Page, referring to him as “chump change” in the investigation.
