Pastor Says ‘If You Have Coronavirus, I Declare You Healed In Jesus’ Name’ After Refusing To Close Church

Word of Life Senior Pastor Tom Walters decided to hold a sermon last Sunday despite being encouraged to shut down the church due to the coronavirus outbreak.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, Walters promised his church-goers that he would heal them of the coronavirus if they came to his sermon.

“There’s a lot of people that are criticizing us, but most of them don’t come to our church,” Walters said during his sermon, adding, “If there is one person, or two people, three people, who may be carrying the coronavirus, we declare you healed in Jesus’ name.”

After receiving criticism for ignoring health and government officials, the church issued a statement this week saying that they would close from now on until further notice.
