The Trump administration isn’t doing much to help Puerto Rico after the devastating damages left by Hurricane Maria. But people aren’t standing still. Cuban-American rapper Pitbull is sending his private plane to Puerto Rico to help bring cancer patients to the U.S. for treatment.
Puerto Rico Resident Commissioner Jenniffer Gonzalez (R) shared her appreciation for what Pitbull did for the residents.
She tweeted in Spanish:
Gracias al cantante @pitbull x prestar avión privado para trasladar pacientes de cáncer de PR a USA para q puedan tomar quimio @DeptSaludPR

“Thank God we’re blessed to help,” Pitbull, a Miami native, told The New York Daily News in a statement. “Just doing my part.”
Donald Trump and his administration haven’t done much to help. The president said he will wait until next week to travel to the U.S. territory.
Puerto Ricans are in desperate need of help, the whole island is out of power and they are struggling to find food and clean water.
