The latest Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey shows for the first time that more voters are in favor of impeaching Donald Trump than opposing impeachment of the president.
According to PPP, “For the first time we find more voters (48%) in support of impeaching Trump than there are (41%) opposed to the idea. Only 43% of voters think Trump is actually going to end up serving his full term as President, while 45% think he won’t, and 12% aren’t sure one way or the other.”
And to make matters worse for Republicans, more Americans are regretting putting Trump in office. According to the poll 49% of voters would much rather have Hillary Clinton as president compared to the 41% that still want Trump in office.
If these kind of numbers continue, it could mean bad news for Republicans and Trump come 2018.
Republicans can’t afford to lose the House in the 2018 mid-term elections. If they do, Democrats will take over, which is bad news for Trump because his impeachment will be more probable.
