New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie has become the least popular governor in the United States. His approval rating last month was the lowest it has been in 20 years, with only 15% of voters approving of him.
In response the New Jersey Governor said he doesn’t care about “political optics.”
“I think my poll numbers show that I don’t care about political optics,” Christie said at a press conference. “What I care about is doing what’s right and wrong.”
Christie received a lot of criticism after photos showed him spending time on a beach he closed over the weekend. The photo drew a lot of attention and quickly went viral.
Christie made an announcement during a press conference, saying he signed a budget for New Jersey, reopening state parks and beaches in time for the Fourth of July.
