Trump-Loving Radio Announcer Fired After Video Of Racist Tirade At HS Basketball Game Goes Viral
With every day that passes, President Trump’s supporters are feeling more emboldened to express their racist views in public. The latest example came from two Iowa radio announcers who set the internet abuzz after descending into a racist tirade during a live broadcast of a high school basketball game.
A video from a boys basketball game between Forest City High School and Eagle Grove High School was posted to Facebook Sunday night. It contains racist comments by Donald Trump backer and longtime announcer for Forest City, Orin Harris, and a producer.
The two make comments about the ethnicities of the opposing team’s players. Specifically, the men refer to them as the “Espanol people in Eagle Grove.”
Harris goes on to say, “As President Trump would say, go back where they came from.”
Trump’s 2016 immigration platform centered on building a wall and deporting undocumented immigrants.
Both men were fired after the video went viral, according to WHOTV.
The clip is from a longer online broadcast of the Nov. 28th game between Forest City High School and Eagle Grove High School.
