Reagan’s Son Just Denounced Trump’s DACA Decision, Says Father Would Not Have Approved

Former President Ronald Reagan’s son, Michael Reagan, called out Donald Trump’s Tuesday decision to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Reagan said his father would not have made the decision “kick the [Dreamers] out of the US.”

“Fyi, my father would not kick the dreamers out of the US. He would find a way to work with Congress and lead,” Reagan tweeted Tuesday.

Reagan’s tweet comes following Trump’s decision to end DACA with a six-month delay that will give Congress the chance to pass an immigration reform.

Reagan also called on Trump to act like a leader and lead Congress to Act.

Reagan also said that “POTUS needs to lead and Congress needs to act” before adding that “Immigration issues belong with the Congress, not with POTUS.”

“Trump put the ball in the right court. The Congress. The Republicans control all 3 branches now deal with it or go home..,” Reagan tweeted.

Trump also tweeted out on Tuesday saying that he will “revisit” DACA if Congress hasn’t been able to come up with anything after the six month period.
