Recent Report: Yemen Raid Has Yet To Produce Any Significant Intel

Donald Trump’s first raid on an al Qaeda compound in Yemen came at a price, multiple innocent civilians died as well as an American Navy SEAL. The raid was approve by Trump without any prior intel information, and many people have said the mission was not a success.

One of the biggest critics of the mission was the father of Ryan Owens, the Navy SEAL that was killed. He expressed his thoughts on the “stupid” mission that got his son killed. During an interview with The Miami Herald, Owens asked:

“Why at this time did there have to be this stupid mission when it wasn’t even barely a week into his administration?”

“For two years prior, there were no boots on the ground in Yemen — everything was missiles and drones — because there was not a target worth one American life. Now, all of a sudden we had to make this grand display?’’

Sean Spicer on the other hand said that the mission was a complete success. He even went as far as to stating that “anyone who would suggest it’s not a success does disservice to the life of Chief Ryan Owens.”

Not only that but he also claimed that the mission produced “actionable intelligence” about al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen.

But now, according to a new report, the recent Navy SEAL raid on an al Qaeda compound in Yemen has not produced any significant intelligence. Senior U.S. officials said they were unaware of valuable information from the Jan. 29 operation, NBC News said Monday.
