Many people have had mixed feelings about Donald Trump being impeached because they fear a Mike Pence presidency would be just as bad or worse. But recent court filings seem to implicate that both Trump and Pence could be making their way out of the White House, making way for the new Democratic Speaker of the House to become president.
Other questions that have been raised is Can the election be done over? Can the Trump/Pence administration’s actions over the past two years be reversed, particularly the appointments of Gorsuch and Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and all the damage to our federal agencies?
Well, according to court filings that were released last week from special counsel Robert Mueller’s office and the Southern District of New York, Trump’s presidency could become illegitimate as his longtime “fixer” Michael Cohen admitted in a plea deal that he and the president both criminally conspired to hide from the American people the fact that Trump had sexual relations immediately after the birth of his son Baron with both Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, and that his affair with McDougal lasted about a year.
If Republicans had known this information before, Trump would not have gained the momentum he did to win the GOP primary.
But that’s not all that Trump hid from the American public. According to the same court filings, after Trump won the primary nomination for the Republican Party, he still continued to conspire with Russian government officials to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.
So why is this such a crucial information?
Well, if Trump would have lost the presidency, as he expected, he would have made “hundreds of millions of dollars” in net revenues financed by a Russian bank that’s under sanctions, and both Cohen and Manafort were expecting to get a cut of the action.
This is a huge conflict of interest as Trump has been soft on Russia. The goal was to end the sanctions so they could move forward with the Moscow construction right after the elections.
The Trump Tower in Moscow was part of an agreement between Trump and Russian government officials to help Trump win the 2016 election.
The Russian government helped Trump after they hacked the DNC and took down Hillary Clinton, both with the WikiLeaks revelations and a widespread social media campaign, which also constituted an illegal campaign contribution and further ensnared the Trump/Pence campaign in a campaign finance crime.
This presidency is illegitimate. Both Trump and Pence have control of the Executive Branch of government unrightfully and unlawfully.
Now, as Democrats get set to take over the House of Representatives, they plan to further investigate Trump and even filing articles of impeachment against the president and his vice president. This would leave the Democratic House Speaker – which is presumed to be Nancy Pelosi – to become the next president of the United States, which leaves Republicans in constant worry.
