Republicans Want To Pass A Gun Bill, But Will Only Make Mass Shootings More Deadly

The Republican Party has been working on a gun bill that will make it easier for people to obtain gun silencers, which critics are saying will only make mass shootings easier and deadlier.

On Sunday night Las Vegas suffered one of the deadliest mass shootings in United States history. The tragic event left more than 50 people dead and hundreds injured.

Republicans are pushing to pass a bill called the Sportsmen Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act, which would remove gun noise suppressors, or silencers, from the list of items regulated under the National Firearms Act of 1934.

The SHARE Act was initially scheduled to hit the House floor the day a gunman opened fire on congressional Republicans practicing for a charity baseball game.

Republicans have yet to reschedule a vote and will likely not schedule a vote any time soon in the wake of the Vegas shooting.

The bill is expected to pass the House floor vote, but there’s a very slim chance that the bill will garner enough votes in the Senate to actually become a law.
