Rudy Giuliani Gets Eviscerated For ‘Forgetting’ 9/11 And Blaming Obama
Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani wound up with egg on his face after proclaiming that “we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack in the United States until Obama came along” while introducing Donald Trump in Youngstown, Ohio on Monday.
Giuliani bizarrely claimed that Islamic terrorists had never attacked the United States until after President Obama was elected in 2008, seemingly forgetting the event that so defined his time as New York mayor on Sept. 11, 2001, when George W. Bush was president.
“Under those eight years before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attacks in the United States. They all started when Hillary Clinton and Obama got into office,” Giuliani said, setting the internet on fire.
Twitter immediately labeled Giuliani’s remark a ‘thoroughly ironic gaffe’, given his frequent mentions of 9/11 during the 2008 presidential campaign.
“The terrorists attacked on 9/11 because they knew Obama would be the next president,” one user wrote sarcastically.
