Republicans are in the middle of slashing Obamacare. Last month they passed a budget resolution in its first step towards repealing the healthcare law. Well Democrats don’t want you to stay quiet.
On Saturday Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for nationwide rallies to support Obamacare.
“We are encouraging Democratic senators to lead rallies in their states. This is not a Democratic issue, a Republican issue or an Independent issue,” the senators said in a letter.
“The overwhelming majority of Americans, regardless of political persuasion, understand that we have to go forward on health care, not backwards.”
In the letter it states that the rallies are to take place on Saturday, February 25th. They are encouraging their colleagues to contact a Sanders aide to organize the events.
