Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, took a shot at a White House physician who said Donald Trump is in “excellent” health.
During a White House press briefing, Navy doctor Ronny Jackson told the press that Trump’s health is “excellent.”
That comment did not sit well with Gupta, who said Trump shows “evidence of heart disease and he is borderline obese.”
“To be clear though, he is taking a cholesterol-lowering medication, he has evidence of heart disease and he is borderline obese,” Gupta said before asking. “Can you characterize that as excellent health?”
Jackson said during the briefing:
“I would say the dose of his cholesterol medicine is very low… If we [change] the diet and exercise, I just don’t think that he has much room to do anything else.”
