‘Good Grief’: Twitter Relentlessly Mocks Mike Pence’s ‘Sick’ Praise of Trump at Cabinet Meeting
Vice President Mike Pence is being tossed around the internet with Twitter mercilessly mocking his delusional praise of President Donald Trump following the passage of the unpopular GOP tax bill.
After helping Trump achieve his first major legislative victory with the GOP tax bill, Pence attended a cabinet meeting and heaped praise upon the president… for two full minutes.
Here is just a portion of the sonnet delivered from the lips of our vice president, as Trump soaked it in, cross-armed.
“Thank you for seeing, through the course of this year, an agenda that is truly restoring this country,” Pence remarked. “You’ve unleashed American energy. You’ve spurred an optimism in this country that’s setting records,” He said, declining to explain how something as abstract as “optimism” can be setting records.
“I want to thank you, Mr. President. I want to thank you for speaking on behalf of and fighting every day for the forgotten men and women of America. Because of your determination, because of your leadership, the forgotten men and women of America are forgotten no more,” he finished, saving the best for last.
“And we are making America great again.”
Donald Trump is certainly a man who enjoys praise, and Pence’s remarks were nothing if not effusive. They were so lavish, as a matter of fact, that Twitter couldn’t help but turn on the snark machine:
