US Soldiers On Pence Detail Removed For Bringing Women To Hotel: Report
It’s no secret that Vice President Mike Pence doesn’t like being around women. And he also seems to have a problem with men who work for him entertaining females.
NBC News reported Thursday that U.S. Army soldiers on Vice President Mike Pence’s communications team were re-assigned for bringing women back to their hotel room during a visit to Colombia.
According to the report, the vice president’s staff were alerted to the incident when they saw the soldiers bringing the women into the hotel on security camera video.
The soldiers — who were senior Army members according to a U.S. official — were subsequently brought back to the United States and removed from the White House detail.
“We are aware of the incident and it is currently under investigation,” Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Paul Haverstick told NBC. “We can confirm that the individuals in question have been re-assigned back to the Army.”
There is no indication yet that the women with the soldiers were prostitutes, officials told NBC.
