Spicer Out? Press Secretary Now Interviewing People To Take Over His Role At White House
New reports are suggesting that White House press secretary Sean Spicer could be moving to a different role within the White House.
According to Politico, who spoke with two sources, Spicer is searching on his own for someone to replace his role as White House press secretary.
The report states that Spicer and White House chief of staff Reince Priebus have reached out to Fox News contributor and conservative radio host Laura Ingraham as well as Daily Mail editor David Martosko for the role of communications director.
Ingraham was considered by Trump as press secretary, but ultimately decided to go with Spicer for the postition.
Spicer has been criticized for being dishonest or unclear with while talking to the press.
“The White House press secretary is getting to a point where he’s just kind of useless,” CNN’s White House reporter Jim Acosta said after the briefing. “If they’re getting to this point where he’s not going to answer questions or go on camera or have audio, why are we even having these briefings or gaggles in the first place?”
