Following the devastating massacre that took place in Las Vegas over the weekend, a Texas man was arrested after threatening to carry out a similar shooting in San Antonio.
According to local news station KSAT, 39-year-old Roderick Lamar Robinson was arrested this week in Oklahoma City after the Police Department in San Antonio warned them that Robertson had written a threatening post on Facebook that stated he would kill a mass amount of people in the city.
The threatening Facebook post reportedly came after someone “messed up” Robinson’s front yard.
The San Antonio resident threatened to return to his hometown of San Antonio to kill people in retaliation.
“I’m going to kill a lot of folks at the San Antonio strip,” he wrote. “Just bought me a gun with a lot of rounds in it so get ready, won’t no one me (sic) making fun of me after this.”
But Robinson’s post was quickly reported by local residents.
“SAPD was made aware of the threats posted to social media and investigated the information,” the San Antonio Police Department explains. “We took precautionary measures to include notifying the businesses in the affected area and implementing additional security measures to ensure public safety. The suspect was arrested last night.”
Robinson is now facing charges of making terroristic threats against the public.
