The GOP Just Got Exposed, CBO Report Reveals Tax Bill Will Increase Deficit By $1.4 Trillion

Republicans continue to argue and ignore warnings that their tax plan would increase the national deficit. They have stated that the tax bill will cause economic growth and will more than make up for any increases to the national debt.

This has proven to be a lie as a new analysis by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) shows that the Senate GOP tax plan will increase the national deficit by more than $1.4 trillion over a decade.

Nearly all Republican Senators voted in favor of the new tax bill. Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) is the only GOP senator to vote against the bill, citing concerns on the spending.

“At the end of the day, I am not able to cast aside my fiscal concerns and vote for legislation that I believe, based on the information I currently have, could deepen the debt burden on future generations,” he said earlier Friday.
