The Internet Torches Tucker Carlson For Saying White Supremacists ‘Deserve a Break’
Fox News host Tucker Carlson is being hammered on Twitter after saying that people should “calm down” a night after he said the problem of white supremacy in the U.S. is a “hoax” and for suggesting that white supremacists “deserve a break.”
America isn’t a “white supremacist country plotting the slaughter of its own people,” Carlson said in a post on Twitter that was accompanied by a message that was aired on his nightly program.
“They mean well. Going forward, give them the benefit of the doubt, even when you disagree with them,” the Fox host said referring to white supremacists.
“These are your fellow Americans. Cut them a break. They deserve it. And remember the alternative is disaster.”
Carlson’s remarks followed a mass shooting by a long gunman in El Paso, Texas, that left 22 people dead.
The suspect in the shooting is believed to have shared a racist manifesto describing an “invasion” of Hispanic immigrants before carrying out the attack. It followed a separate attack on a Pittsburgh synagogue last fall that killed 11 people, the deadliest attack in U.S. history on a Jewish community.
Since the El Paso shooting, a vast majority of Americans have moved to condemn white supremacism.
Separately, FBI Director Christopher Wray said last month that the agency has made about 100 domestic terrorism-related arrests since October, with the majority tied to white supremacy.
In his remarks on Tuesday, Carlson said the U.S. is on the “decline” but the country “is not on the brink of genocide.”
Twitter users were quick to respond. Take a look below.
There’s been a tremendous response to last night’s show. The left wants to silence us. They won’t. Here’s a portion of our response from tonight’s show. Watch this video and watch #FoxNews at 8pm ET for more. pic.twitter.com/bMRdIeC33b

Nobody wants to "silence" you, you self-victimized race hustler. Some people simply think that having a white supremacist on prime time TV is not good for the country or the products that advertise during your show. You might not see yourself as "a real boy," but others do.

You are a fucking abomination. NO ONE has pushed the “immigrants are an invasion” rhetoric more than you. You are a white supremacist that promotes anti-minority anti-Hispanic and anti-immigrant racist ideology to millions every single night. https://t.co/hbJynxgJPt

"White supremacy is a hoax. Coming up next, a 12-part series on whether the black president was born in the United States."

Hey Tucker Klansman, do you still think Iraqi people are “primitive monkeys who wipe their butts w their hands”, then eat without washing? Or that President Obama has no right to call himself black? Also, you going to demonize both legal & illegal immigrants tonight, again?
