The NFL Just Issued A Statement In Support Of Kaepernick And Trump Fans Aren’t Happy

The NFL decided to stand by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and issued a statement in his support saying that the issues he brought up “deserve our attention and action.”

Jocelyn Moore, the NFL’s executive vice president of communications and public affairs, issued a statement on Tuesday.

She said:

“The National Football League believes in dialogue, understanding and unity. We embrace the role and responsibility of everyone involved with this game to promote meaningful, positive change in our communities. The social justice issues that Colin and other professional athletes have raised deserve our attention and action.”

The statement comes a day after Nike revealed its newest ad embracing Kaepernick.

But not everyone was happy to see the NFL’s support for Kaepernick. Trump supporters were outraged and took to Twitter:
