Thousands Of People Gathered At The JFK Airport To Protest Against Muslim Ban
Donald Trump’s actions always have consequences. Thousands of New Yorkers headed to the JFK airport Saturday evening to protest the ban of Muslim countries from entering the U.S.
These countries include Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, and Libya.
The unplanned protest started to spread through social media. Trump critic and activist filmmaker Michael Moore was one of the people who sparked the protest.
More than 2,00 protestors were at the airport. That’s 2,000+ people that spontaneously left their homes to stand up against Trump.
One group chanted, “Let them in.” Another read out loud from the Emma Lazarus poem inscribed in the base of the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free ….’’
