Price For Tickets To Mike Pence Event Reduced 45 Percent And Still Aren’t Selling
It appears that not even Republicans are willing to pay to hear Vice President Mike Pence. Tickets for a party fundraiser headlined by Vice President and Master of the Stern Glare Mike Pence are selling so poorly, the price was recently slashed by 45 percent. And still aren’t selling, the Denver Post reports.
The party announced the event weeks earlier but struggled to sell the tickets available. So now it’s lowering the tickets to $150, a 45 percent discount. A couple can attend with a two-for-one deal at the original $275 price.
Poor advance planning is the sort of thing that gets Pence’s boss’s dander up. Two months ago, he fired his longtime advance planner when the hall where he was holding a rally in Phoenix looked too empty on television for his taste.
This is a smaller event, but still, the Colorado GOP is struggling badly to fill up a banquet room even halfway — expected attendance is 400 people for a room that holds 900. And this is for an event headlined by the evangelical vice president in evangelical-friendly Colorado.
Maybe there are a lot of Broncos fans who didn’t appreciate Pence’s little walkout stunt at a Colts game on Peyton Manning Day?
