Trump Adds Dina Powell To U.N. Ambassador Shortlist. She Responds By Removing Her Name
Former White House deputy national security adviser Dina Powell has taken herself out of consideration to replace U.N Ambassador Nikki Haley who resigned last week.
According to several news outlets, Powell was on a list of about five names of possible replacements for Haley.
But senior administration officials told CNN and Reuters on Thursday that Powell expressed no desire to work for President Trump and instead will remain at Goldman Sachs, where she took a job after leaving the White House earlier this year.
