Trump Adds To The Suspicion, Rejects Having Security On His Phone: Report

Donald Trump rejected on Monday the White House’s attempt to improve security surrounding his cellphone, putting him in a vulnerable place to get hacked, according to Politico.

Trump reportedly uses at least two iPhones every day, one solely for Twitter and news and the other one to make phone calls.

According to Politico, White House officials have pushed Trump to change out his phone that he uses for Twitter, but the president said that it would be “too inconvenient” to do so.

Politico reported:

“The president has gone as long as five months without having the phone checked by security experts. It is unclear how often Trump’s call-capable phones, which are essentially used as burner phones, are swapped out.”

Former President Barack Obama, according to an Obama administration official, would turn in his phone every month to get it checked “telecommunications staffers for hacking and other suspicious activity.”

Former national security officials said that Trump rejecting the additional security measures could put him at risk, as he is a major target for hackers.
