Keith Schiller, who has been a longtime personal aide to Donald Trump, plans to leave his post at the White House by the end of September, according to an inside source.
Bloomberg reported on Friday that Schiller, who sent out the letter firing former FBI Director James Comey, plans to leave his White House job for a better paying job.
Last year Schiller earned $294,000 from working with the Trump organization. That number dropped down to $165,000 now that he’s working at the White House.
But, a person familiar with Schiller’s decision said he is pursuing a new job with a higher salary.
Other familiar sources said that Trump called on Schiller to inform former director of White House advance, George Gigicos, that he would never manage another Trump rally again. The decision came following Trump’s dissatisfaction with the rally that took place in Phoenix, Arizona, on August 22.
