Donald Trump is desperately trying to save his economy from plummeting because, without it, he has no chance at re-election. He even begged lawmakers for a stimulus package to save the stock market from continuing its decline.
But while Trump is trying to convince lawmakers to bail him out, he is telling the people of the United States to “just stay calm – it will go away.”
“It’s really working out,” he added.
Trump then went on to brag that the death toll for the virus isn’t “substantially more.”
“We’ve also had some very good updates on the virus, that it’s working out very smoothly,” Trump told the press. “Tremendous people. It’s a tremendous task force. They have done a great job. Not a good job. A great job. As you know, it’s about 600 cases. It’s about 26 deaths within our country. And had we not acted quickly, that number would have been substantially more.”
Trump even lied about those numbers. There have actually been over 800 cases and 28 deaths. And out of the ones infected only 15 have actually recovered.
