Trump Briefed ‘His Golf Buddy’ About Iran Airstrike At Mar-A-Lago But Said Nothing To Congress

Donald Trump is getting called out on Twitter after news broke out that he did not inform Congress about the US military airstrikes that killed a top Iranian commander in Iraq and instead told Senator Lindsey Graham about it while they were both golfing at Mar-a-Lago.

In a statement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the killing of Qassem Suleimani was carried out without an “authorization for use of military force” against Iran and without the consultation of Congress.

“The full Congress must be immediately briefed on this serious situation and on the next steps under consideration by the Administration, including the significant escalation of the deployment of additional troops to the region,” Pelosi said.

And according to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Graham was the only one to get briefed on the strike.

“Sen. Lindsey Graham, who was seen at Mar-a-Lago on Monday and Tuesday, says on Fox News, ‘I was briefed about the potential operation when I was down in Florida.’” Collins tweeted this Friday.

This drew outrage from people all over Twitter.
