Trump Called For The Firing Of Acting FBI Director Just Hours After Manafort Raid

It was reported on Wednesday morning that FBI agents raided the house of Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort late last month.

According to the New York Times, the agents were looking for “tax documents and foreign banking records” when they conducted a pre-dawn raid on the morning of July 26.

But, Think Progressive reported on Wednesday that tweets from Donald Trump on the day of the raid show that he wanted to replace then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

Trump tweeted:

“Why didn’t A.G. Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation but got big dollars ($700,000) for his wife’s political run from Hillary Clinton and her representatives. Drain the Swamp!”

This seems to follow a pattern of Trump’s continuing act of trying to stop the investigation into his campaign for possible collusion with Russia.
