Trump Can’t Seem To Keep People, His Entire Senior State Department Staff Just Resigned

Donald Trump is on the hunt to make America “great again.” That means he’s doing whatever it takes to make sure America is filled with nothing but white Christians. But that is not going to happen so easily. Trump is starting to lose support, his entire senior level of State Department staffers just quit on him.

Trump’s unconstitutional actions on immigration and his carelessly impulsive approach to foreign policy is making him lose staff members. The Washington Post reports that “Undersecretary Patrick Kennedy, Assistant Secretary of State for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry O. Smith, director of the Office of Foreign Missions” all abruptly resigned on Wednesday. All of which were career diplomats who have worked under the administrations of both political parties.

“It’s the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate. Department expertise in security, management, administrative and consular positions in particular are very difficult to replicate and particularly difficult to find in the private sector” said David Wade, who served as State Department chief of staff under Secretary of State John Kerry.

This makes it a total of six top diplomats that have left Trump’s side, after Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security Gregory Starr and the director of the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations Lydia Muniz both resigned on Jan 20th. This means that the Trump State Department is entirely devoid of veteran experience.

This is extremely concerning, as there is no experience and knowledge needed to manage and defend thousands of diplomats and their posts across the world while treading the difficult waters of international diplomacy in a world suspicious of American intentions.

Trump’s first week as President can be summed up into a few words: A complete disaster for the world.

The man isn’t just destroying American lives, but lives all over the world.
