Even as he forced a shutdown of the federal government last night, Donald Trump decided to try to create the appearance that was busy working. It didn’t go well.
On Friday night, Trump took to Twitter to announce that he was canceling his flight to Mar-a-Lago and posted a photo that’s supposed to prove he’s busy signing a bunch of bills at his desk. But there’s a problem: that thing he’s signing in the photo isn’t a bill.
“Some of the many Bills that I am signing in the Oval Office right now. Cancelled my trip on Air Force One to Florida while we wait to see if the Democrats will help us to protect America’s Southern Border!” Trump wrote.

Here’s a close-up of what Donald Trump is purporting to sign:
That’s right, it’s a blank piece of paper.
We’re not sure we even understand what’s going on here. This is just weird even by late-stage addled Trump standards. And Twitter users were quick to point that out.
Aww….you POSTPONED the trip WE THE PEOPLE pay for so you can sign a blank paper and blame everyone else for your childish and selfish meltdown.

Must be using your super secret top secret, invisible ink spy pen

Those bills sure are missing a lot of text, there, sparky. Instead of photo ops with blank papers, you could always opt to Resign… #TrumpResign pic.twitter.com/9hvs9VqlSg

You can’t even do an honest photo op?
My goodness, you have zero integrity. #TrumpResign pic.twitter.com/fg3fzVxDBa— Miguel Cuevas (@LogicRonin) December 22, 2018
Guys! Look at all that paper! So much paper, people! Amazing!

Umm…you DO see that the page is blank, right?

Yea, that blank paper. Must be everything you've done to better this country

Yup. That is the President of the United States.
