Trump Caves, Dems Win The Deal: Government To Open Up Without Border Wall Funds
The Washington Post reported on Friday that Donald Trump is expected to announce a plan to re-open the government for three weeks without getting the funds for his proposed border wall, which was the whole reason for shutting down the government in the first place.
The Post reported:
“With Trump’s approval, the pact would reopen shuttered government departments for the three weeks while leaving the issue of $5.7 billion for the U.S.-Mexico border wall to further talks. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.”
Trump is set to make the announcement this afternoon.
