More than half of Americans today believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin has “compromising information” on Donald Trump.
A Quinnipiac University survey released on Tuesday revealed that 51% of Americans believe that Putin has damaging information on Trump, while only 35% believe that he doesn’t.
If that wasn’t bad enough for Trump, who claims that his meeting in Helsinki was a major success, 52% of people surveyed believed the meeting between Trump and Putin to be a failure, while 73% said it was a win for Russia.
The poll also revealed that the majority – 54% – said that Trump wasn’t acting in the best interest of the U.S. during the summit.
Quinnipiac University interviewed 1,177 voters from July 18-23. The poll has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
