Trump Claims ‘We Were Laughed At’ During Obama Years Just Days After Getting Trolled At NATO
Donald Trump told a rally crowd on Tuesday that the U.S. was a laughing stock during the Obama administration. His remarks come days a video captured world leaders literally making fun of Trump during the NATO Summit in London.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron were all captured on tape ridiculing Trump.
That seemed to have prompted Trump into assuring a crowd of his supporters that he is not a laughing stock and that the world now respects the U.S. because of him.
But during a campaign rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania with Vice President Mike Pence, Trump pretended as if he had never been humiliated on the world stage.
“I always say — and I’ve already said it twice tonight — this country is so respected,” Trump claimed, despite all evidence to the contrary.
“And we were not respected four years ago, we were laughed at,” Trump argued.
Take a look at his remarks below:
