Trump Could Be Criminally Charged For COVID-19 Deaths: REPORT
Donald Trump has been criticized for not taking the coronavirus threat seriously when he was first briefed on it. In fact, Trump brushed it off as just the regular flu that would go away soon.
After realizing that it was more than the common flu, Trump finally decided to take some action. But many still criticized his lack of urgency.
On Thursday, The Intercept reported that Trump could be held criminally responsible for the deaths that came due to the coronavirus.
The Intercept reported:
DEATHS FROM COVID-19 continued to mount this week as the U.S. surpassed 200,000 confirmed cases, more than any other country in the world. Experts increasingly point to President Donald Trump’s willful negligence as a primary cause of the pandemic’s intensity, but MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirscher takes things a step further, arguing controversially that Trump could be legally liable for coronavirus deaths after he leaves office. He makes the case to Mehdi Hasan on this week’s podcast.
