Donald Trump fired off an all-caps Twitter attack against Bloomberg on Friday for leaking his “off the record” comments of his insults towards Canada that ultimately led to the two countries’ trade deal to collapse.
Trump tweeted on Friday:
“Wow, I made OFF THE RECORD COMMENTS to Bloomberg concerning Canada, and this powerful understanding was BLATANTLY VIOLATED. Oh well, just more dishonest reporting. I am used to it. At least Canada knows where I stand!”

Trump told Bloomberg during an “off the record” interview that he was “scaring the Canadians into submission by repeatedly threatening to impose tariffs,” according to the Toronto Star.
The interview between Bloomberg and Trump was leaked, which caused the Canadian government to call off any trade talks with the United States.
But, it appears Bloomberg reporters weren’t the ones to leak the interview. According to reports, it is still possible that the leaks of his remarks came from a White House official.
