Trump Goes On Maniac Rant On Twitter, George Conway’s Response Is Perfect

In a bizarre tweet posted late Saturday night, a furious Donald Trump admitted that “it is not at all ‘Presidential’” to attack the media the way he had, but added that he must fight back because criticism against him is all “fake news.”

“I know it is not at all “Presidential” to hit back at the Corrupt Media, or people who work for the Corrupt Media, when they make false statements about me or the Trump Administration. Problem is, if you don’t hit back, people believe the Fake News is true. So we’ll hit back!” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s attack came after MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch slammed Trump as a criminal on his Saturday evening show.

The rare admission that his behavior might be outside the bounds of what’s normally expected of a president promoted a string of responses on Twitter. Most notably, the tweet gave one of his most outspoken adversaries another opportunity to attack the president’s mental health.

On Sunday morning, attorney George Conway, the husband of Trump’s trusted advisor Kellyanne Conway, matched Trump’s fusillade against Deutsch with another thread questioning the president’s mental health.

“presidential” at all, period. You’re mentally unwell. You engage in bizarre, irrational, self-defeating behavior, which prompts criticism of you, which triggers more bizarre, irrational, self-defeating behavior. You would have been fired from any other job by now,” Conway wrote.
