Trump Had A Second Secret Unreported Meeting With Putin At G-20
Donald Trump met up last week with Russian President Vladimir Putin and talked about cyber security. The public was well aware that that meeting happened, but newly revealed evidence shows that Trump and Putin had a second secret meeting during the annual G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.
According to political scientist Ian Bremmer, Trump and Putin had a second, unreported meeting together.
Bremmer said that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the conference. He recalled a similar meeting that happened between Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Sessions failed to disclose that meeting on his security clearance.
“We clearly know that Trump does not care what the media has to say about his desire to have a close, personal relationship with the Russian president, and what drives it,” Bremmer said.
“Never in my life as a political scientist have I seen two countries with a constellation of national interests that are as dissident, while the two leader seem to be doing everything possible to make nice,” he added. “That’s what people don’t understand.”
This just adds more wood to the fire that is the Russia scandal revolving around Trump and his team.
