It was reported on Tuesday that Donald Trump purposely told Vice President Mike Pence to stay at his properties while taxpayers pay for the expenses.
Now, according to the Daily Beast, election records show the Great America Committee associated with Pence has paid about $224,000 to the Trump International Hotel in Washington and its steakhouse, among other properties owned by the president.
According to USA Today, Pence’s brother, first-year Rep. Greg Pence (R-IN), had his campaign illegally pay for him to live at the Trump hotel.
The GOP lawmaker’s campaign spent about $45,000 at businesses owned by Trump.
It was reported on Tuesday that Pence was ordered by Trump to stay at Trump’s luxury golf course in Doonbeg, Ireland — which is 150 miles away from his meetings in Dublin.
This is just another example of how Trump is using his presidency to stuff his pockets.
