Donald Trump is getting ready to travel to Arizona for another campaign style rally, the first one since causing controversy with his comments about the white nationalist in Charlottesville, Virginia.
According to Reuters, Trump is expected to be met by a large group of protestors when he arrives for his Tuesday rally.
Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton urged Trump to cancel his rally, raising concern that he might cause a big ruckus.
“America is hurting. And it is hurting largely because Trump has doused racial tensions with gasoline,” Stanton wrote in the Washington Post. “With his planned visit to Phoenix on Tuesday, I fear the president may be looking to light a match.”
Local activist have been planning to gather in Phoenix to protest the president.
Some White House officials are concerned that the Charlottesville issue will be brought up during the rally and Trump will run his mouth, causing a bigger issue in the administration.
