Trump Is In BIG Trouble: Lawmaker Just Invoked A Forgotten 1924 Rule To Expose His Taxes

Donald Trump promised time and time again that he was going to release his tax returns to the public, which by now we know that was just a lie to gain voters. He came up with excuse after excuse on why he hadn’t yet released, it got to the point where Kellyanne Conway said that the people don’t want to see his tax returns.

“We litigated this all through the election. People didn’t care,” she said. “They voted for him, and let me make this very clear: Most Americans are very focused on what their tax returns will look like while President Trump is in office, not what his look like.”

But according to the American people, that is not true. In fact 74% of Americans want to see Trump’s tax returns.

Now, thanks to Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) we might just get to see those long awaited returns. Pascrell dug up an archaic 1924 tax rule that will allow Congress to examine the president’s tax returns in order to see if there’s a conflicts of interest that need to be addressed.

The Congressman has asked the Ways and Means Committee to urge the Treasury Department to show them ten years worth of Trump’s tax returns. This is big news for the public as they will finally be able to see Trump’s tax returns. It is unsure why he hasn’t shown his returns to the public yet, but because he’s been putting it off for so long it raises concerns that he has something to hide.

The same rule has been used on a president before. Richard Nixon was forced to show his tax returns thanks to this rule and eventually he was impeached because of it. If this rule pushes through Trump might be in for a world of trouble.
